Release notes
What the platform does.
Every part of the site serves one idea: you should not have to lower your standard of living to reach the American Dream. Here is what each release added. This site is build 39f5f4f3af18, 2026-09-30.
1.1: Own Your Frontier (2026-09-30)
- One home for the mission
- The program, research, community profiles and account tools now share the Own Your Frontier identity. Previous public page addresses redirect to the corresponding page on the new domain.
- Clearer evidence
- A new interactive payment chart separates observed prices and earnings from adjustable scenarios. The research explains constraints on housing supply and how they relate to the program. Funding comparisons distinguish cash commitments from discounted present values.
- More paths to independence
- Homeownership remains the first program. A new opportunities page explains the skills, business ownership and household resilience ideas being explored, alongside existing public resources.
- Practical access
- The public site supports small screens, keyboard navigation and readable data tables. Current program availability is shown on the relevant pages; a website feature is not a commitment of assistance.
1.0: From the evidence to the keys (2026-09-28)
- The evidence
- The original evidence pages introduced a $500,000 home scenario with 20% down and an assumed 7% mortgage rate: principal and interest of $2,661 versus an earnings-adjusted $1,503 benchmark. The September 30 update adds source and methodology clarifications.
- Places
- Eighteen established towns on the North Shore, in Park Ridge, Hinsdale and the near-west suburbs, each with its typical home, trains, schools and the payment gap job by job, refreshed monthly from public data.
- Homes
- Homes in those towns with two payments each: the market payment, and the payment with the fund's recoverable assistance. Illustrative examples are labelled until partner listings arrive.
- Homebuyer accounts
- A household profile, a readiness score with the next three steps, a personal plan on the site's own method, saved towns and homes, and messages with the team.
- Applications
- A short application with autosave, private document upload, a clear status at every stage, agreements signed online, and funds that move only after two people approve. Applications open once the foundation's counsel signs off.
- Giving
- Gifts in USDC, bitcoin or ether on Base, confirmed from the chain within minutes; card and bank giving, once or monthly, ready to switch on. Every gift reaches the public ledger without a name.
- Sponsor accounts
- Dashboards with lifetime giving, levels, towns, statements and monthly gifts; gifts attach only with proof of the giver.
- Transparency
- The ledger in public: received, committed, paid out, recycled, operating costs and fees, monthly closes that never change, and each home the fund helped buy against its town's typical price.
- Trust
- Passwordless sign-in and passkeys, private documents behind short-lived links, a strict content security policy, nightly backups with tested restores, and alerts on errors, backlogs and failed payments.
