Privacy, terms, fair housing and accessibility

Privacy

We collect only what we need to run the program and to show sponsors where their money goes, and we never sell or rent personal information.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, the name you give us, and sign-in records such as passkeys and session devices.
• For homebuyers: household size, income band, savings and the towns and homes you save. If you apply, the documents you upload.
• For sponsors: your gifts, the wallet addresses or payment records they came from, and your recognition choices.
• Messages you send us through the contact form or your account.
• Basic service logs. The application's abuse controls store a one-way hash of your network address. Our hosting and security providers also process connection information to deliver and protect the service.

How we use it and who processes it

We use this information to run your account, assess applications, deliver assistance, send receipts and statements, and meet our reporting duties. The site runs on Cloudflare, which hosts our data and delivers our email. Card and bank gifts, when offered, are processed by Stripe. Gifts on the Base network are public by nature: the blockchain records the sending address and amount.

What is public

Public program reporting uses aggregate activity. Sponsors are listed by name only if they choose to be. Homebuyer identities, addresses and private application details are not included in those public reports. Blockchain transfers and their wallet addresses are public independently of our reporting.

Your choices

You can download your data or delete your account from your account settings at any time. Financial records and signed agreements are kept for as long as the law requires. The site uses essential sign-in cookies and anti-abuse services, including Cloudflare Turnstile on protected forms. When enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate usage information without analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. Questions about privacy go to privacy@freedomishome.com.

Terms of use

By using this site you agree to these terms. The research, calculators and examples on the site are illustrations based on public data. They are not financial, tax or legal advice and do not say what any household can afford or will receive.

Creating an account, completing a readiness check or saving a plan does not guarantee assistance. Assistance depends on eligibility, available funds and a signed agreement. Example homes are illustrations unless expressly identified as current listings; available listings may change or be withdrawn.

Gifts support the foundation's mission and are final once made. Gifts on the Base network must be sent on Base to the address shown on the Give page; sending tokens on another network or to another address may result in permanent loss. Tax-deductible status is not confirmed on this site. Request current legal and tax documentation before relying on a tax benefit. A contribution record is not a tax receipt or an investment interest in the fund.

Additional areas described on the Opportunities page are exploratory. They are not current applications, grants, loans, job placements or emergency-assistance services. Recoverable housing assistance remains a debt; its repayment triggers, appreciation share and other obligations must be set out in the signed agreement.

Please keep your sign-in secure and do not misuse the site, attempt to reach other people's information, or interfere with its operation. We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA, including readable contrast, keyboard access, useful text alternatives and pages that work on small screens. This is an ongoing accessibility goal, not a certification of conformance.
